studio chair

This ‘studio chair’ is designed under the influence of Sons of Beasley, a furniture company which uses plywood offcuts to create individual pieces that are full of character. My studio chair was designed around the sizes of plywood available, which meant that I had to think extra carefully about the construction and stability.

The colourful laminate coating adds life to the simplicity of the plywood planks, and the cantilever design gives the chair a unique profile.
